Admission Policy

This Admission Policy complies with the requirements of the Education Act 1998, the Education (Admission to Schools) Act 2018 and the Equal Status Act 2000.

Anti-Bullying Policy

This policy fully complies with the requirements of the Anti-Bullying Procedures for Primary and Post-Primary Schools which were published in September 2013.

Child Safeguarding Statement and Risk Assessment

The Board of Management has adopted and will implement fully and without modification the Department’s Child Protection Procedures for Primary and Post-Primary Schools (revised 2023) as part of this overall Child Safeguarding Statement.

Code of Behaviour

Our school aims to provide a happy. secure, friendly learning environment, where children, parents, teachers, special needs assistants, ancillary staff and the board of management work in partnership.

Complaints Procedure

As a school community, we are committed to upholding the Catholic ethos, our school mission statement and our vision for the school in all our dealings with pupils, parents, one another and with the wider community in which our pupils live. For that reason, we will try to prevent or minimise the need for complaints where this is possible. However, given that our community is made up of human beings and that mistakes can be made, we will approach these issues in a spirit of mutual respect and tolerance for the benefit of all.

Parental Complaints Procedure

The parental complaints procedure was revised and agreed by the Irish National Teachers’ Organisation and the management bodies of primary schools, the Catholic Primary Schools Management Association, the Church of Ireland, An Foras Pátrúnachta, the Muslim Primary Education Board, Educate Together and the National Association of Boards of Management in Special Education in 2023.

Attendance Policy

This policy promotes and encourages regular attendance as an essential factor in our pupils’ learning

GDPR Policy

The policy applies to all school staff, the Board of Management, parents/guardians, students and others (including prospective or potential students and their parents/guardians and applicants for staff positions within the school) insofar as the measures under the policy relate to them.

ICT and Internet Acceptable Usage Policy.

The aim of this Acceptable Use Policy is to ensure that students will benefit from learning opportunities offered by the school’s digital resources in a safe and effective manner.

Mobile Phone and Electronic Device Policy

This policy prohibits the use of mobile phones and/or any other electronic devices by pupils while on school premises, travelling to/from school premises, or involved in school-related activities (such as tours/trips, extra-curricular activities etc.). This is in order to create a safer environment for every child.

Healthy Eating Policy

Our school recognises that a healthy diet is essential for maintaining and protecting children’s health, for ensuring they perform to their full potential during the school day (both academically and physically) and for their growth and development.
