STEAM

(Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics)

At Inch National School, we are deeply committed to promoting STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education and fostering a love for learning in these areas. We believe in capitalising on children’s interests and talents to provide engaging and enriching educational experiences. Here are some of the initiatives we undertake to promote STEAM education and environmental care:

Thematic Weeks

  • We celebrate thematic weeks that incorporate STEAM ideals, encouraging hands-on exploration and learning in various subjects.

Environmental Care

  • Picker Pals
We participate in initiatives like Picker Pals, to encourage children to play an active role in caring for and protecting the environment. Through activities like litter picking, we instil a sense of responsibility and stewardship for our surroundings.
  • Wild Works
Our school engages in Wild Works projects, which involve outdoor activities and exploration to connect students with nature and biodiversity.
  • Beach Cleans
We organise beach clean-up events to promote environmental stewardship and raise awareness about marine conservation.
  • School Garden
Our school garden is currently undergoing a revamp, with plans to create a sensory space. This initiative provides students with opportunities for hands-on learning about gardening, biodiversity, and sustainable practices.

Through these initiatives, we aim to inspire our students to become environmentally conscious citizens and equip them with the skills and knowledge needed to address real-world challenges in STEAM fields. We believe that by fostering a love for learning and a sense of responsibility towards the environment, we can empower our students to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond.
